Sacred Heart Athletics Carnival

The Sacred Heart Athletics Carnival will be on Friday, the 23rd May 2025 (Week 4) at Albert Park. If any parents or school community members are available to assist on the day, please complete the Google form: https://forms.gle/LtnrpEmwTTAPXBG36 

We will need assistance for the BBQ and Canteen, helping to measure for some events etc. Any assistance for as long or as little as you are able, will be greatly appreciated.

WR Cross Country

Congratulations to those students who ran in Batlow last Friday. All our students performed exceptionally well with some of the outstanding results below -

Georgie Dunhill 1st - 8/9yrs Girls

Ella Sannazzaro 2nd and Emmeline Last 6th- 10yrs Girls

Archie Byrne 1st , Chase Evans 3rd,

Josh Knewstub 4th and Will Manwaring 5th - 11yr Boys

Estee McLeod 3rd - 11yr Girls

Max Winsor 5th and Joey Walker 6th - 12yr Boys

Zoe Lake 3rd and Ava Sannazzaro 5th - 12yr Girls

These students have qualified for the next level in Canberra on the 16th. Well done to everyone who gave it their best.Students have received information on how to register for this event. We will report on their achievements in the next newsletter.

Mortimer Shield/Trent Barrett

Thursday our league and league tag students travelled to Junee for the annual Trent Barrett and Mortimer Shield Carnival. Thankyou to all those who assisted on the day. Without volunteers we would not be able to attend events. Students had a great time, and showed great sportsmanship throughout the day.

CG Touch Trials

Congratulations to Ava Sannazzaro, Ella Sannazzaro and Max Winsor who headed to Canberra on Tuesday for the Canberra Goulburn touch trails. Students played their hardest and everyone made it to the probable possible games. As a result they all made it the the Canberra Goulburn team and will play in Wagga on the 13th June for the Mackillop team. 

Well done at such a high level.

C & G Sporting Representatives

This program is an opportunity for our stage 3 students to trial and represent their sport at a higher level. It is up to parents to register for these events. Congratulations to:

  • Sophie Boxsell, who made the Southern Country 16s Rugby League team in Wagga last week. She will now compete with the Southern Country team at the NSWCCC Trials, aiming for selection in the CCC team.

Futsal

Well done to the futsal teams that went to the Schools Futsal Championships in Wagga this week. They were great days to be a part of, and it is an excellent spectator sport. 

The 14s Boys had a few wins, draws and some close losses, and the 14s Girls had a win and a draw throughout the day. The 16s Girls and Boys did not have a win but had a lot of fun anyway.
