Why iPads at Sacred Heart?
The following clip is actually put together using an App available for iPad (called Videoscribe HD)! It gives a short and excellent overview (including many of the reasons) we have decided to move to a 1:1 iPad program at Sacred Heart.
What is iCloud?
iCloud is provided free (for accounts up to 5GB) by Apple and is an online repository for all sorts of content that is also stored on the iPad. Each student will be required to have their own unique iCloud account using their new school email address. They can then also use an alternate or existing Apple ID to download previously purchased music or apps they may have on other Apple devices (in adherence with our user policy). If they don't have another Apple ID, they can simply use the App store as well by using their iCloud Apple ID. Rather than explain more about iCloud here - check out the overview on the Apple website HERE.
You can also download and view a pdf HERE that has step by step instructions of how we would like you to set up your iCloud account using your new school email address.

If a student has 5 or less letters in their surname, they simply use their full name. So Robert May would be
Advice for students on their new email accounts can be found at the following address. This site is maintained by the CEO.
Using your new school GApps account (click here for information)
Students will mostly access their email on their iPads and instructions for inputting email accounts can be found here. Students have been shown how to change their default passwords and the password reset option will be available soon should students forget (bearing in mind the new password will need to be re-entered into their iPad mail settings).
